Heute gibt es eine einfache und schnelle Anleitung zum Basteln einer Mini-Öl-Lampe.
Ausgedacht habe ich mir dies aber nicht selber! HIER und HIER sind die amerikanischen Anleitungen!
Das wird benötigt:
1. Lampenöl oder Pflanzenöl (Ich habe Olivenöl verwendet)
2. ein schönes Glas mit Twist-Off-Deckel
3. ein Hammer und ein Nagel
4. ein Kerzendocht (aus dem Bastelladen)
Ich habe die Anleitung etwas vereinfacht!
Ihr macht einfach folgendes:
1. Füllt das Glas bis oben hin mit Öl. Es brennt besser, je näher das Öl am Deckel ist!
2. Den Deckel mit dem Boden auf eine Unterlage legen und mit Hilfe von Hammer und Nagel ein Loch durchschlagen. Es muss so groß sein, wie der Docht dick ist!
3.Den Docht durch das Loch im Deckel ziehen, sodass der Hauptteil nach unten hängt.
4. Den Deckel auf das Glas schieben, sodass der Docht im Öl schwimmt.
5. Zum ersten Mal anzünden: Das kann etwas dauern, bis der Docht tatsächlich zuverlässig brennt, da das Öl erst einmal nach oben gezogen werden muss. Danach wird brennt es aber zuverlässig.

Mason jar oil lamp
Today I have a simple and quick tutorial for creating a mini oil lamp!
This is what you need:
1. lamp oil or vegetable oil (I used olive oil used)
2. a beautiful glass with twist-off caps
3. a hammer and a nail
4. a candle wick (from the craft store)
I simplified the tutorial a bit, now do the following:
1. Fill the jar to the top with oil. It burns better, the closer is the oil to the top!
2. Place the lid on a mat and make a hole with the help of a hammer and nail. It must be as large as the wick is thick!
3. Pull the wick through the hole in the lid, so the main part hangs down.
4. Close the glas, so that the wick is floating in the oil.
5. Light it for the first time: It may be a bit tricky and take some time for the wick to burn, because the oil has to be taken upward. Thereafter, it burns steadily.
Have fun with your new oil lamp!
