Nachhaltige Hochzeitsdeko: Sukkulenten

Nachhaltige Hochzeitsdeko: Sukkulenten!

Also: Man nehme...

  • 20 Sukkulenten

Sustainable Wedding Decoration: Succulents!

For our civil wedding I wanted to go without freshly cut flowers. Why?

To breed beautiful flowers, send them around the world, just so they can wilt the next day?

So I thought it would be much more sustainable to have a flower decoration that one can reuse after the wedding!

I came across succulents on Pinterest a while ago. They were used as gifts for the weddings guests.

So last week, Succulent were offered for a very low price at Aldi and Kaufland (per 1 Euro per plant)

So, I took ...

  • 20 succulent-plants
  • 1 bag Succulent earth from the hardware store
  • Nine glass vessels (old street lamps from the flea market)
  • Larger and smaller stones for drainage

That's how we did it:

UPDATE 3 months after the civil ceremony:
We received a lot of compliments for the succulent-planters and lots of guests took them home. I have only 3 planters left at home now. The succulents luxuriate without any effort on my part. All I have to do is water them with a few teaspoons (YES!) once a week!
