Meine Inspiration:

Dieses Tutorial für ein Bücherregal sah so einfach und doch so spannend aus, dass ich es nachmachen wollte. 

Allerdings brauchte ich nicht wirklich ein Bücherregal. Also suchte ich online nach etwas vergleichbarem und fand dies:

Leider konnte ich, außer den Bildern, auch keine weitere Erklärung finden. Trotzdem war es recht leicht, den Tisch nachzubauen.

Und so habe ich es gemacht:

Im Baumarkt habe ich 4 Kisten, ein Holzbrett (etwas kleiner als die richtig angeordneten Kisten), 4 Rollen und Holzlasur gekauft.

Zuhause habe ich das Holz angemalt und für ein paar Stunden trocknen lassen. 

Dann hat mein damaliger Freund und heutiger Mann die handwerklichen Arbeiten übernommen und alles mit Holzleim zusammengeklebt bzw. die Rollen angeschraubt.

UPDATE: 

Neulich habe ich eine Acrylglas-Platte gekauft, um das Holz besser zu schützen. Es hatte sich auch herausgestellt, dass das Loch in der Mitte sehr unpraktisch war.

Mein Hund wollte auch auf's Bild!

DIY Coffee Table

My Inspiration:

This Tutorial for a bookshelf looked so simple and yet so interesting, that I wanted to make it. 

But actually I didn't need a bookshelf but a new coffee table. So I googled a bit further and found this:

Unfortunately I could only find the picture but no further source!

So I only had the pictures and it turned out, it was quite easy to imitate.

That's what I did:

Bought 4 crates, a wooden board (cut a little bit smaller than the crates arranged like in the picture) and 4 rolls, glaze of wood at the hardware store.

At home I painted the wood and let it sit for some hours. 

Then my then-boyfriend and now husband did the  manual work and assembled everything. For the connection between the crates and the board, we used wood glue.

UPDATE: 

I recently bought an acrylic table top in order to protect the wood and to be able to use the space in the middle. This aspect turned out to be quite impractical. 

My Dog wanted to be on the picture too!
